We bought this dishwasher as a replacement for a builder grade machine that barely worked. The concept is great, but the configuration does pose problems. The racks are set up perfectly for plates and cutlery. However, larger items soon consume space that leaves gaps where nothing else will fit. The machine only uses pods or powder not liquid. Since each drawer is independent you end up using 2 pods for each full load. The dishes MUST be rinsed before loading or the extremely fine filter will clog up quickly.

Flexible wash options and easy to use

The flexibility that having two drawers is very nice, being able to run either two different cycles or start a new batch halfway through an existing cycle is helpful. I mostly use the top drawer, so I don't have to bend down as much. This replaced a more traditional unit, and the installation was more involved than a simple drop in, so that's something to be aware of. It runs quiet and is easy to use, I hope it will last a long time.

Great Concept, But Already Having Problems

I really wanted to like this dishwasher. The double-drawer design is excellent and was one of the main reasons I purchased it. Being able to run the drawers independently is convenient, the dishwasher is extremely quiet, and when it was working, I was very pleased with its performance. Unfortunately, after only a short period of use, the dishwasher began displaying an A1 error code and will no longer complete a cycle. I have confirmed that my home has good water pressure, the dishwasher had previously been operating normally, and I have reset the unit and attempted additional cycles, including a rinse cycle. The rinse cycle started at 15 minutes, stalled at 13 minutes for an extended period, and eventually displayed the A1 error again. For a dishwasher at this price point, I did not expect to be dealing with a service issue this soon after purchase. I also had a very frustrating installation experience through Home Depot, although I recognize that is separate from the performance of the GE dishwasher itself. After finally getting the unit professionally installed and operating, having the appliance itself develop a fault so soon afterward has been extremely disappointing. I purchased a 3-year protection plan, so I will be pursuing service and will update my review depending on how GE/Home Depot handles the repair and whether the problem is permanently resolved. When it works, I really like the dishwasher. The double-drawer design, quiet operation, and overall concept are great. Unfortunately, reliability matters just as much, and right now I cannot recommend it based on my experience.

Too many problems to be worth it

I love the idea of this dishwasher, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. The sides have little shelves for glasses or small bowls, but if there™€™s anything below them in the main area of the drawer, these won™€™t get clean. It™€™s not very powerful and the water won™€™t get pushed up in between the lower items to the ones on the side shelves. In addition, there™€™s a tiny flap that regulates the water going out of and into the unit, and if a small piece of food gets stuck, the flap remains open and water goes back into the dishwasher. That means you open the dishwasher to a mini swimming pool. It only does a fair job of drying dishes. We also are unable to have a floor mat in front of it like we used to for standing and prepping meals because the lower drawer won™€™t open with anything in front of it. It has zero clearance. I didn™€™t factor this into my rating because it™€™s not specific to this unit but wish I had realized how much space you lose with two drawers instead of one traditional dishwasher, and that you use double the dishwashing pods. The only positive of it is the convenience of standing to open the top drawer to load something instead having to bend down and pull out a lower rack.

The future of dishwashers

This dishwasher feels like a much better use of space than the traditional dishwasher design. I love to not have to bend over as far for the main load of the dishwasher. It is wonderful to have the flexibility to use the lower drawer as a completely separate dishwasher or to simply store other items for occasional use such as strainers and other items. This should really be the new standard for dishwasher configuration. My only criticism is that water tends to pool around the inner lip edge of the top drawer when you pull it out. It stays in the dishwasher of course but i always feel compelled to wipe it off before I start unloading. Maybe it could be slightly slanted downwards to allow for natural draining.

Really Like but could use a few improvements

I really love my dishwasher. A few areas for improvement would be: the location of the controls make it so we start the dishwasher by accident ALL THE TIME, the requirement to use the app to lock the dishwasher to keep it was accidentally being started, that I have to leave it open sometimes to dry out even when I use the normal dry option during the cycle, and the prongs for plates are not adjustable like the bowl side and are therefore less useful. Things I really like are: the flexibility to run small loads and not feel bad about it, the adjustable side platforms, the utensil basket is great, the adjustable bowl racks, and how easy it is to clean the filter.

Love the double drawers, aesthetics, and functions

We had a dish drawer dishwasher before so were already familiar with this modality. We tried switching to a traditional dishwasher but really missed the convenience. In general we are thankful we swapped to this model by GE. I like that the brand is subtle and not trying to compete visually with other appliances in our kitchen. It functions well and cleans as expected. It's amazing how much you can fit in a drawer and how convenient it is to have separate drawers. Occasionally if you overload it can be easy to block the spinner on the bottom which leads to an uneven clean. I wish I could receive a notification if there is something in the way. The app is a bit of a nightmare. Slow, confusing to use, and not that helpful outside of notifications.

I have been wanting this double drawer dishwasher for the past 2 years and was soooo happy when our dishwasher broke! The best purchase !! Love the looks, the spacing is perfect for our new empty nesters, cycles are very quiet , can control everything by your phone if you want! Love the modern look too! Has lots of settings for cycle length/rinse/dry cycles. The only thing I haven™€™t figured out is how to run both the top and bottom drawers at the same time and how to cancel a cycle on the dishwasher itself vs just the app. Also wish stores carried these in stock near me! Everyplace had to order it with a week delivery to store. Otherwise- so happy with this purchase!

I really love this. It's a replacement for my old Kitchenaid 2 drawer dishwasher. The layout is easier and more adaptable for dishes, pots and pans. I do like the layout much better. I would only suggest that they make the silverware holder, holes a bit larger to fit my stainless. The is washer is quiet and does a very nice job.

Very quiet. Enjoy that you can use your phone to operate it. I give those 5 stars. However, even with double drawers it is very small. You cannot get several dishes loaded if you have pots and pans. So for that reason I end of washing the majority of my dishes by hand which defeats the purpose of a dishwasher.

Well, after having my double drawer dishwasher for a few months I can now give an honest review. Its garbage. Nothing fits right in it. Everything constantly falls over or flips. Then doesnt get cleaned properly. The silverware basket doesnt fit snugly and tips as well. There is a shelf for cups and they always come out dirty still. The only positive thing about this piece of trash is that its quiet

I™€™ve had this unit for just over a month. Overall I am satisfied, it is very convenient because of the 2 drawer system, it looks super sharp, I like using the app. I™€™m not in love with the tablet detergent, sometimes it leaves residue. I™€™ve also noticed that my dinnerware - which is actually stoneware, doesn™€™t clean like the other items in the same wash. So i need to make sure they are ™€˜semi-cleaned™€™ really well before putting in the dishwasher. Very odd issue - maybe its the finish of stoneware.

I lovvvve this dishwasher, I am so happy with it! Being able to run the drawers separately is a dream. There is so much space and options in both drawers. Squeaky clean dishes, and so quiet. Could not be happier with this choice.

So far, so good. I've had the GE Profile double drawer dishwasher for about a month. It is being deeply compared to the Fisher Paykel double drawer dishwasher I had for 20 years and absolutely loved. The GE was a less expensive option when it came time for a replacement. The Fisher Paykel had less complicated controls, but GE Profile's controls are not too complex once I got used to them. They are way more electronic of course. I did like FP's controls being on top of the drawers rather than on the front. The GE drawers are similarly & nicely set up for dishes. However, our 10.75 inch plates won't fit in the bottom drawer. They do fit in the top drawer. Not a deal breaker, but I did like my FP having 2 equal sized drawers. The GE Profile is amazingly quiet. The drawers slide in & out very smoothly. I didn't care much for having to download the GE App in order to change some settings, but that's the way most things are nowadays. Overall, so far I am happy with the new GE Profile and was happy to find it available to consumers. There's not a ton of drawer dishwashers out there & I cannot understand why. They make a lot of practical sense & everyday life in the kitchen is far and away less cluttered & easy.

I like my double drawer dishwasher because it adds a modern look to my kitchen. Not sure I need WiFi for a dishwasher, so I haven™€™t connected that feature. Also still trying to figure out how to run loads in upper and lower drawers at the same time!

Just installed yesterday, ran 1 drawer last night. It is SO quiet. Everything was perfectly clean. It was so nice being able to load while preparing our meal, did not get in my way (smallish kitchen). Not having that huge door hanging down (plus it ran into my GE Range.) So far, Highly recommend.

I am so unhappy with this appliance. The separate drawers are so poorly designed that the holding capacity is extremely small. The actual prongs to hold my plates are so small that my dishes hardly fit. Dishes do not come out clean and the time to complete cycles is excessive. I would return it if I could!

I love having the drawers. Sometimes I just have a small load and it™€™s perfect to just run the small at the end of day. Don™€™t have to wait to fill a large capacity dw. Also need to get it online. Thats a big help.

Warning: Unless you own and exclusively wash a perfect set of Corelle Ware dishes only, do not purchase this dishwasher. This is the first 1-star rating I have ever written on anything, so I do not take this lightly. I really wanted to love this dishwasher, but it has proven to be the worst design I have encountered in a dishwasher. After more than 40 years™€™ experience loading dishwashers, I believe I know how to load one, but this design requires loading of only uniform and shallow dishes, with nothing made of plastic. My main motivation for purchasing this dishwasher was to use only the upper drawer most of the time, thus avoiding bending over to load and unload it, as is necessary with standard dishwashers. I also hoped to eliminate the need to handwash any dishes. Neither of my desires have been met. The rack in each drawer is the same design with the left side of the rack oddly slanted for no obvious reason, making the loading of bowls with any depth a frustrating challenge. Although the tines on this side can be adjusted to create wider spaces, this adjustment does not resolve the issue. The right-side tines are intended for plates, but they are too tall and positioned too narrowly for a plate with any width. While these tines can be folded flat to accommodate other dishware, doing so means there is no space left for plates. The manual suggests an ideal loading scenario, but it is clear from the images that ONLY Corelle Ware-type dishes fit this rack. Additionally, when washing lightweight items such as Tupperware bowls, they frequently flip over and then collect water. This trapped water creates humidity, thus preventing the dishes from drying completely even on the longest dry cycle. The upper fold-down racks are ineffective because placing any dishware beneath them obstructs water flow. There is also a risk of items falling below the rack, which can block the water sprayer and result in dishes not being cleaned properly. I sincerely regret purchasing this dishwasher!

Very frustrated with this 2-drawer Profile dishwasher. I very rarely write reviews especially negative reviews. But we bought this dishwasher in order to wash fewer dishes by hand...but the very opposite has turned out to be the case. The dishwasher's design does not work for anything that's not a very specific shape and weight like Corelle. It's design only works well for heavier dishware that's also somewhat shallow like relatively flat plates and shallow bowls. Anything else, like Tupperware or similar, is a struggle to load properly. Even heavy plastic products don't fit well because of their depth, and lighter products many times flip, then fill with water and aren't cleaned. And the additional water collected in anything that's flipped keeps the drying cycle from working adequately because of the added humidity.

Bought this dishwasher, was so excited to get this dishwasher a double drawer where I could run small loads of dishes. Well, I will tell you I am no longer excited, in fact if I could get my hands on someone at GE, I would give them back this mess and put it in their laps instead of mine. It has not worked from day one, I am at day 30 and it is still sitting here with stale water in it and not working. Their stellar service is absolutely HORRIBLE. Never again will I buy a GE Product.

The Double Drawer Dishwasher is what I had hoped! Being just my husband and I, we can fill one drawer in two days. This is economical and efficient. It cleans very well too. The only downside is the dry feature does not dry the dishes completely. I leave the door open at all times to prevent mold and smell.

The double drawer dishwasher is a great size for a home with 1 or 2 persons. The smaller volume capacity allows you to run the dishwasher at full capacity much sooner. It runs much quieter than my previous dishwasher. Powder dishwashing detergent is recommended. This dishwasher does not recommend liquid dishwashing detergent and the detergent container does not hold the pods. You can use pods but they should be placed in the utensil container.
